Who we are
Dragex Development handles the full life of a website — building it, hosting it, and maintaining it afterwards. Most of our clients work in the trades: plumbing, construction, compliance testing, and the service businesses around them. We work with roughly ten of them, which is by design rather than by circumstance.
Keeping the list short is what makes the rest of it possible. There is no support queue, because there does not need to be one. When you write in, the person reading it already knows your site.
Why the trades
Trade businesses tend to get badly served by the web industry. They are sold template sites nobody maintains, or expensive rebuilds that look impressive and load slowly. Meanwhile the thing that actually matters — a stranger with a problem finding you and calling you — goes unconsidered.
That is a solvable problem, and it is a satisfying one to solve. The measure of a contractor's website is not how it looks in a portfolio. It is whether the phone rings.
How we work
Hosting and development belong together. When those live with different vendors, every problem starts with an argument about whose fault it is. Handling both means a problem gets diagnosed and fixed rather than forwarded.
We favour plain, durable technology over whatever is fashionable. A small business site should load fast, work on a phone, and still be maintainable in five years. That usually rules out the complicated option.
